Arsenal hold a three-point lead atop the Premier League table with 73 points from 34 games and a +38 goal difference, but Manchester City's 70 points from 33 matches—including a crucial game in hand—fuels trader consensus for a near-50/50 split on second place. Recent Arsenal wins over Brighton (1-0) and Everton (2-0) restored their edge after City's 2-1 victory on April 19 tightened the title race, yet both face defensive injury woes: Arsenal without Kai Havertz (groin) and Jurrien Timber (groin), City missing Josko Gvardiol (tibia) and Ruben Dias (hamstring). Remaining fixtures like Arsenal's home clash with Fulham and City's trip to Everton present winnable tests, but congested schedules and mid-table opponents keep the runner-up battle fiercely contested.
