Merab Dvalishvili’s repeated public statements that the UFC has locked in a bantamweight title trilogy with Petr Yan drive the market’s strong lean toward that matchup. Yan captured the belt via unanimous decision at UFC 323 in December 2025 and remains sidelined post-surgery, with no firm date yet set, leaving Merab on the sidelines and reinforcing trader confidence in the trilogy. Umar Nurmagomedov sits second after their prior title fight, yet Merab has explicitly dismissed him as a next opponent. Cory Sandhagen ranks next due to his recent title challenge loss to Merab, while lower probabilities for Aiemann Zahabi, Sean O’Malley, and others reflect their current positioning in the division amid ongoing contender movement and the confirmed priority on Yan.
