Atlanta Braves hold a 2-0 series lead over the Detroit Tigers entering Thursday's finale at Truist Park, bolstered by an 8-2 record in their last 10 games and a league-best 3.09 team ERA despite injuries to Spencer Strider, Raisel Iglesias, and Sean Murphy. Bryce Elder (3-1, 1.95 ERA) starts for the NL East-leading Braves (22-9, 12-5 home), facing Tigers lefty Framber Valdez (2-1, 3.41 ERA) amid Detroit's rotation woes after Casey Mize's adductor strain and Javier Báez's ankle sprain forced 15- and 10-day IL stints post-Tuesday's 4-3 loss. Tigers (15-16, 5-14 road) check in 4-6 lately with a 5.49 ERA over that span, testing their depth against Atlanta's surging offense led by Matt Olson's 9 homers. Mild weather expected with no major delays.
