Mateus Alves, the Brazilian seventh seed, holds home-soil and recent-form advantages on the clay courts of the M25 Cuiaba against higher-ranked Dominican Nick Hardt. Alves has advanced comfortably through his opening matches in the event, while Hardt defeated Wilson Leite in the first round and posted solid clay results earlier in May. The matchup pits Alves’ familiarity with the surface and local conditions against Hardt’s stronger ATP ranking and career-high pedigree. Traders weigh these situational edges alongside both players’ recent wins and the inherent variability of ITF-level singles outcomes on clay.
