Caitlin Clark leads the 2026 WNBA in assists per game at 8.1 through the early season, building on her 2024 league-leading mark and all-time APG record, which underpins her 64.5% implied probability as the season-long leader. Indiana Fever guard playmaking and high-usage distribution continue to drive volume despite turnovers. Alyssa Thomas sits second at roughly 7.5–7.8 APG with Phoenix, offering the clearest challenger, while Chelsea Gray, Jordin Canada, and Jackie Young trail further back in the 6–7 range. No major roster or injury shifts have altered the hierarchy in recent weeks, leaving Clark’s consistent edge as the primary driver of trader consensus.
