Nottinghamshire Outlaws host Yorkshire in the Vitality Blast opener at Trent Bridge on May 22, marking the start of both sides' 2026 group-stage campaigns in a double-header format. Nottinghamshire enters with a strong recent white-ball record at home, where they have historically leveraged Trent Bridge's dimensions for aggressive batting and effective death bowling. Yorkshire, coming off a rebuilding phase, will look to use the early-season fixture to test new combinations, though their away form against Nottinghamshire has been inconsistent in prior T20 encounters. Key variables include potential early-season rust for both squads, weather conditions typical for late May, and any last-minute squad adjustments from official injury reports ahead of the first outing. Trader sentiment reflects these situational edges for the home side in the closely contested North Group matchup.
