Derbyshire Falcons host Durham in the Vitality Blast opener at the Incora County Ground on May 22, where both sides are shaping early-season squads following County Championship preparations. Derbyshire’s home surface often favors aggressive batting in the powerplay, while Durham’s recent northern group experience and overseas reinforcements could influence middle-order stability and death bowling. Historical head-to-head records show Durham with a narrow edge, yet fresh roster changes and limited pre-tournament match data leave the contest evenly poised. Weather and final XI announcements remain the key variables ahead of first ball.
