This market will resolve to “Yes” if the listed fighter becomes champion of any UFC division between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. Only official UFC division champions will count. Interim champions will not count. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the UFC (https://www.ufc.com/athletes); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Trader consensus favors high-profile contenders like Sean Strickland in the Polymarket for new UFC champions in 2026, driven by his imminent middleweight title challenge against undefeated Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 328 on May 9, where a win would crown him undisputed champ amid Chimaev's first defense. Carlos Ulberg became light heavyweight champion just three weeks ago, stunning Jiří Procházka via first-round KO at UFC 327 for the vacant belt after Alex Pereira vacated for heavyweight pursuits, but Ulberg's torn ACL sustained in the fight likely delays his first defense, opening doors for top-ranked Magomed Ankalaev or Paulo Costa. Broader sentiment reflects vulnerable titleholders like Petr Yan at bantamweight facing elite challengers such as Merab Dvalishvili and Umar Nurmagomedov, plus lightweight intrigue with Ilia Topuria's undisputed reign versus interim Justin Gaethje's path.
