Benfica holds a commanding trader consensus at 81% implied probability for Primeira Liga second place, leading Sporting CP by two points after 31 matches with an unbeaten record of 22 wins and nine draws, bolstered by a crucial 2-1 away victory over Sporting on April 19 that secures head-to-head tiebreaker advantage. Recent momentum favors Benfica following their 4-1 thrashing of Moreirense, while Sporting's season implosion—marked by dropped points in draws like 2-2 versus Tondela—has eroded their challenge despite superior goal difference. FC Porto's seven-point title lead renders their 0.8% share for runner-up irrelevant, as three remaining fixtures, including mutual derbies, underscore Benfica's consistency under José Mourinho.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Primeira Liga as finishing in second place. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2025-2026 Primeira Liga season (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No".
If the 2025-2026 Primeira Liga season is cancelled, postponed after June 7, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Primeira Liga. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
