Los Angeles Mad Drops enter the MLP St. Louis matchup as heavy favorites due to their dominant recent form, including a first-place finish at the prior Dallas event where they overcame a 0-2 deficit against top competition to claim the group and event title. Featuring standout performers such as Ben Johns in mixed doubles alongside Jade Kawamoto and Catherine Parenteau, the team has demonstrated superior depth across men’s, women’s, and mixed formats. In contrast, SoCal Hard Eights have posted limited results in recent MLP events and lack comparable roster strength or momentum heading into group play. Trader consensus at 83.7% implied probability reflects these established advantages in player quality, recent results, and head-to-head patterns, though upsets remain possible in short-format team competition.
