The New York Yankees enter the three-game series at Yankee Stadium as clear favorites, holding a 43-27 record atop the AL East while the White Sox sit at 38-32 in second place in the AL Central. New York’s home advantage and deeper pitching staff, anchored by veterans like Gerrit Cole, contrast with Chicago’s road struggles (14-20 away). The White Sox have posted one of baseball’s largest year-over-year improvements, driven by a surge in slugging and home-run output that has fueled recent wins, including strong home performances against quality opponents. Recent form shows the Yankees snapping a skid with a victory over Toronto, while Chicago continues to battle for relevance in a competitive division. Key factors include probable pitching matchups, bullpen depth, and any late roster adjustments ahead of the June 16 opener.
