Detroit's rotation is depleted with Tarik Skubal (15-day IL, elbow surgery, 4-6 weeks away), Casey Mize (15-day IL, adductor), and Reese Olson (60-day IL, season-ending shoulder) sidelined, plus position players like Javier Báez (10-day IL, ankle) and Kerry Carpenter (10-day IL, shoulder) out. Cleveland recently placed reliever Shawn Armstrong (15-day IL, groin) and INF Gabriel Arias (10-day IL, hamstring) on the list, but their starters like Parker Messick (4-1, 2.30 ERA) provide stability post-Angels series. Probable pitchers for the matchup remain TBD, with Tigers' home advantage and bullpen depth as key variables.
