Mercedes' early dominance in the 2026 F1 season, powered by superior adaptation to new power unit regulations and energy management, has positioned teammates George Russell and Kimi Antonelli as clear trader favorites for the Drivers' Championship, with Russell's experience edging him to 41.5% implied probability ahead of Antonelli's 31.4%. Russell won the season-opening Australian Grand Prix, but Antonelli surged with victories in China and Japan, leading standings 72-63 after recent rounds while outqualifying his teammate in key sessions. Rivals like Charles Leclerc (6.6%) trail amid Ferrari's solid but inconsistent form, while Max Verstappen and Lando Norris languish below 4% due to Red Bull and McLaren's struggles matching Mercedes' race pace and reliability in the opening flyaways.
