The St. Louis Cardinals enter their series against the New York Mets riding a six-game winning streak, including shutout and blowout victories on June 9 and 10 that improved their record to 37-28 and kept them within striking distance in the NL Central. Strong recent outings from starters like Dustin May, combined with multi-RBI contributions from Jordan Walker and Alec Burleson, have fueled the surge. The Mets sit at 29-38, hampered by injuries to Francisco Lindor, Jorge Polanco, and Clay Holmes that have thinned their lineup and bullpen depth. With the Cardinals posting a superior 7-3 mark over their last ten games versus the Mets' middling recent form, trader consensus reflects the gap in momentum and roster health heading into the June 11 matchup.
