Alejandro Tabilo, seeded No. 2 at ATP #43 with a strong 10-5 clay record in 2026, holds the edge over Roberto Bautista Agut (ATP #93) in their first head-to-head clash on red clay at the Aix-en-Provence Challenger. Tabilo, the 2024 champion here, received a first-round bye, while the 38-year-old Spaniard—fresh off announcing his retirement at season's end—edged qualifier Sascha Gueymard Wayenburg 7-5, 6-2 for his initial clay win this year after a 0-2 start on the surface. Bautista Agut's experience and recent momentum contrast Tabilo's superior form and ranking, with no reported injuries affecting either in this round-of-16 matchup.
