Matteo Berrettini, the resurgent Italian ranked No. 92, carries momentum into his second-round ATP Challenger Cagliari clay-court clash against top seed and defending champion Mariano Navone (No. 45), leading their head-to-head 2-0 including a straight-sets win at Monte-Carlo last year. Berrettini grinded out a thrilling three-set victory over Patrick Kypson in the opener yesterday, showcasing his big serve and improved movement after injury setbacks, while drawing home-crowd energy at Tennis Club Cagliari. Navone, a clay specialist with strong baseline grinding, received a bye but faces stylistic pressure from Berrettini's power; no injury concerns reported for either, though outdoor conditions could favor the taller server's punch in rallies. Trader consensus reflects a tight matchup given Berrettini's recent form uptick and surface history.
