Tatjana Maria, the 2025 HSBC Championships champion who reached a career-high ranking of No. 36, enters this grass-court qualifying match against Kamilla Rakhimova with strong historical results on the surface despite an 8-16 record in 2026. The 38-year-old German has shown resilience in recent grass events leading into the Queen’s Club tournament. Rakhimova, ranked around No. 89 with an 11-15 mark this season, has struggled for consistency on clay and hard courts but holds a dominant 6-1 head-to-head advantage, including a March 2026 win. The outdoor grass conditions at Queen’s favor players with slice and net skills, while both competitors seek main-draw spots in the WTA 500 event. Recent form and surface adaptation remain central to the matchup.
