Alexander Zverev enters the Roland Garros final as the clear favorite against Flavio Cobolli, backed by his superior big-match experience and 3-1 head-to-head edge, including a straight-sets win over the Italian at Madrid this clay season. The second seed has reached his fourth major final while posting dominant results in Paris, losing just two sets en route, and holds a strong overall 2026 record. Cobolli, contesting his first Grand Slam final after a semifinal walkover when compatriot Matteo Arnaldi withdrew with illness, notched his first victory over Zverev on clay in the Munich semifinals and benefits from extra rest. Both players seek their maiden major title on the slow clay surface at Court Philippe Chatrier, where recent form, serve effectiveness, and mental resilience in a high-stakes setting will likely decide the outcome.
