Hyeon Chung holds a significant edge over Thanapet Chanta in their ITF Nakhon Pathom hard-court clash, backed by his No. 639 ATP ranking versus Chanta's No. 864, a 1-0 head-to-head win in January's Nonthaburi Challenger qualifying (6-2, 3-6, 6-4), and scorching recent form including an M25 Nakhon Pathom title last week that snapped an 18-month drought with dominant straight-set victories over quality foes like Masamichi Imamura. Chanta, a Thai wild card buoyed by home support, advanced past Priyanshu Choudhary but struggled in prior rounds against higher seeds. Traders weigh Chung's hard-court pedigree and momentum against potential fatigue from back-to-back Thailand swings and humid conditions, though no injury concerns surface on official reports.
