Casper Ruud's elite clay-court pedigree drives trader consensus into this Internazionali BNL d'Italia quarterfinal, where the Norwegian has dominated with straight-sets wins over Jiri Lehecka and Lorenzo Musetti this week, conceding only four break points en route. Leading Karen Khachanov 2-1 head-to-head—including their lone prior clay clash—Ruud exploits the Russian's vulnerabilities, as Khachanov has surrendered over 30 break points in Rome despite reaching his fifth quarterfinal here. Khachanov's recent hard-court win over Ruud offers upset potential, but his shaky second serve falters against baseline grinders on outdoor clay. Rain suspended play briefly Wednesday, heightening focus on physical endurance and conditions.
