In the Ostrava Challenger quarterfinal on clay, higher-ranked Tom Gentzsch (No. 228) faces fellow German Rudolf Molleker (No. 431), with trader consensus reflecting Gentzsch's edge from his recent head-to-head clay win over Molleker in Braunschweig last year (6-7(3), 6-2, 6-2), evening their 1-1 series. Gentzsch advanced efficiently with straight-sets defeat of Georgii Loffhagen and a three-set comeback over Zsombor Piros, boasting superior first-serve points won (77%) and fewer hours on court (4:09). Molleker, coming through qualifiers, grinded four matches including a three-setter against Henri Squire, winning more break points (45%) but conceding more time (6:19). Both show solid 2026 clay form (Gentzsch 10-5, Molleker 9-5), setting up a competitive matchup where serve hold and fatigue could prove decisive.
