This market will resolve to “Flyers” if the Philadelphia Flyers win the 2026 NHL Playoffs First Round series between the Carolina Hurricanes and Philadelphia Flyers. If a partial series is played and not completed by May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the 2026 NHL Playoffs are cancelled, postponed after May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Trader consensus on Polymarket prices the Hurricanes at 50% implied probability to win the Eastern Conference second-round series against the Flyers, reflecting a closely contested matchup despite Carolina's home-ice advantage and dominant 4-0 sweep of Ottawa. Philadelphia's gritty 4-2 upset over Pittsburgh—capped by Dan Vladar's 42-save shutout in Game 6—fuels momentum, mirroring their undefeated regulation record in four regular-season meetings with Carolina (all decided in overtime or shootout). Frederik Andersen's .955 save percentage contrasts Vladar's .937 in Round 1, but Hurricanes face uncertainty with Alexander Nikishin (concussion, practiced limitedly) and Nikolaj Ehlers (lower-body) nearing returns. Flyers' penalty kill (84%) and physical defense could neutralize Carolina's forecheck, while special teams or goaltending edges may tip the scales in this first-ever playoff clash starting Game 1 on May 2.
