The Chicago Cubs enter their home series against the Colorado Rockies at Wrigley Field with clear advantages in roster depth and recent form, despite ongoing pitching injuries that have thinned their rotation. The Cubs sit near .500 and have taken recent games from Colorado, including a 9-3 victory on June 11 at Coors Field that ended a prolonged power outage. The Rockies, mired near the bottom of the NL West with a sub-.400 record, face a depleted lineup and staff featuring multiple players on the injured list, including key outfielders and arms. Home/road splits and Wrigley conditions further tilt the matchup toward Chicago, though both clubs' injury situations create uncertainty around starting pitching depth and bullpen reliability for the June 15-17 series.
