Valve added a reworked Cache to CS2's Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, and Retakes modes in the April 28, 2026 update, marking the map's return after years away from official play. Trader sentiment reflects ongoing uncertainty around its elevation to the active duty or Premier map pool, where Valve typically rotates maps post-season. With the current seven-map rotation stable through recent majors and no confirmed replacement announced, momentum hinges on post-Season 4 adjustments and community pressure for an eighth slot. Historical patterns show Valve favoring gradual integration of reworked maps, though roster and scheduling factors could accelerate or delay inclusion.
