Trader consensus pins Cristiano Ronaldo's next club after his Al-Nassr contract expires in June 2027 squarely on MLS, with top outcomes like NYCFC (47.6%), LAFC (46.8%), Charlotte FC (46.1%), and Nashville SC (45.8%) tightly bunched in the mid-40s, underscoring a fiercely competitive race among expansion and established franchises amid broad league interest. February's contract dispute—where Ronaldo reportedly went on strike before recommitting—sparked widespread MLS enquiries, including from San Diego FC and others, but lack of advanced talks or standout negotiations keeps probabilities evenly distributed without a clear frontrunner. Recent Al-Nassr Saudi Pro League triumph reinforces short-term stability, while pundit warnings on MLS physicality fail to dent the marketing allure boosted by Messi's Inter Miami success and 2026 World Cup hosting. Sporting CP (44.5%) lingers as a sentimental European option, but squad dynamics sideline Real Madrid (20.4%).
