The Washington Nationals enter this matchup at 35-33 and third in the NL East, buoyed by MLB’s top first-inning offense and a strong 23-13 road record that has produced five consecutive series wins away from home. Key contributors like James Wood and Luis García Jr. have powered recent rallies, including a 6-3 victory over the Giants on June 9. The San Francisco Giants sit at 27-41 and fourth in the NL West, hampered by inconsistent offense and a losing streak while struggling to convert scoring opportunities. With the Nationals riding momentum on the West Coast trip and the Giants facing mounting pressure in their home park, trader focus centers on Washington’s ability to sustain early leads against San Francisco’s defensive and pitching vulnerabilities.
