Montreal Alouettes enter the Week 3 matchup at Commonwealth Stadium riding strong early-season momentum after two comeback victories, including a 37-30 rally past the Toronto Argonauts and an overtime win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats to start 2-0. Edmonton Elks sit at 1-0 following their season opener but face notable roster challenges, with multiple defensive linemen sidelined for the year due to Achilles injuries that weaken their front. The game marks the Elks’ home opener against a Montreal squad showing effective second-half adjustments and offensive rhythm under head coach Jason Maas. Recent form, injury depth on Edmonton’s defensive line, and travel factors for the visiting Alouettes represent the main drivers behind current market positioning ahead of the June 20 contest.
