Thijmen Loof and David Poljak, the top seeds in the Cervia Challenger doubles draw, face Oleg Prihodko and Jelle Sels in a first-round matchup on outdoor red clay. The Dutch-Czech pairing enters with strong recent form on the surface, including solid results in prior European clay events, while the Ukrainian-Dutch duo relies on consistent serve-volley combinations and recent ATP-level experience. Clay-court speed, baseline rallies, and return effectiveness will likely decide the outcome, with Poljak’s left-handed game adding variety against Sels’ aggressive net play. No major injuries or withdrawals have been reported ahead of the May 18 start, leaving trader consensus shaped by seed status and historical clay performance rather than late breaking news.
