Punjab Kings hold a slim lead in IPL 2026 points table with six wins from eight matches and +1.043 net run rate, fueling their top trader consensus at 28.5%, but Royal Challengers Bengaluru trail closely at 26.5% thanks to a superior NRR and dominant 9-wicket rout of Delhi Capitals on April 27. Rajasthan Royals' thrilling 6-wicket chase of 222 to snap Punjab's unbeaten streak on April 28 has bunched the top four—alongside Sunrisers Hyderabad's recent 6-wicket win over Mumbai Indians—with six victories each from 8-9 games, heightening playoff stakes. Strong retentions like Shreyas Iyer and Arshdeep Singh for Punjab, plus Virat Kohli's form for defending champions RCB, underscore the razor-thin margins in this wide-open league stage race.
