St. Louis Shock enter this MLP matchup as the clear frontrunner, backed by their status as defending MLP Cup champions and a dominant 2026 regular-season record that includes multiple 4-0 and 3-1 victories. Ranked second overall with elite DUPR ratings and a roster featuring standouts like Anna Bright, Kate Fahey, Hayden Patriquin, and Gabe Tardio, the Shock have consistently outperformed lower-ranked sides in team formats. Bay Area Breakers sit at 14th with far fewer wins, and the teams’ most recent encounter ended in a 3-1 Shock victory. Hosting the event at Chaifetz Arena adds home-court familiarity and rest advantages for the top seed, reinforcing trader consensus around the Shock’s implied probability in this group-play contest.
