SoCal Hard Eights enter the MLP St. Louis matchup as slight favorites at 55.5% implied probability, buoyed by a stronger 2026 roster assembled through the draft and key acquisitions such as Cailyn Campbell via trade. The team features experienced players including Armaan Bhatia and Will Mackinnon, drawing on multiple prior championship runs in MLP events that highlight consistent doubles execution and depth. Phoenix Flames, meanwhile, carry a weaker recent track record with limited wins in prior tournaments and roster turnover, positioning them as underdogs in this Group A contest despite home-tournament dynamics for some squads. Recent form and matchup history favor the Hard Eights' balanced lineup in what projects as a competitive early-season test.
