Both teams enter the series finale with sub-.500 records, the Astros at 32-39 in fourth place in the AL West and the Royals at 28-42 in fifth in the AL Central. Houston has taken the first two games, including a 10-8 victory on June 12 powered by Yordan Alvarez’s two home runs and nine-run first inning, followed by an 8-7 win the next day. The Royals have shown offensive flashes but trail in the standings amid inconsistent results and recent roster moves, including placing outfielder Kyle Isbel on the injured list. Pitching matchups, bullpen usage, and any late lineup adjustments for the June 14 contest at Kauffman Stadium represent the key variables influencing implied probabilities in the market.
