In the Jiujiang Challenger quarterfinals on hard courts, No. 122 Coleman Wong faces No. 157 Yunchaokete Bu in a closely contested ATP Challenger 75 matchup, with trader consensus reflecting their even recent form and Wong's 1-0 head-to-head edge from a straight-sets win over Bu in last October's Seoul Challenger quarterfinals. Both advanced convincingly in the round of 16 yesterday—Wong defeating Rio Noguchi 7-6(2), 6-2 after ousting Mikhail Kukushkin 6-3, 6-3, while Bu edged Daniel Masur 7-6(5), 7-6(5) in tiebreak marathons showcasing his resilience. No injuries or withdrawals reported; home-soil advantage for Chinese Bu could factor, but Wong's higher ranking and hard-court momentum tilt implied probabilities slightly his way in this best-of-three sets battle.
