No. 6 seed Mirra Andreeva entered as the trader-favored option against defending champion Jelena Ostapenko in this Porsche Tennis Grand Prix Round of 32 clash on indoor clay, driven by her breakout 2026 form including a Linz title and deep runs on the surface, contrasting Ostapenko's inconsistent 10-10 record amid early exits. Their first head-to-head amplified upset potential, with Andreeva's fearless baseline game and improving serve challenging Ostapenko's power strokes honed on clay (French Open winner). No injuries reported, but Ostapenko's recent Linz survival hinted at vulnerability; the closely contested matchup reflected wisdom-of-crowds pricing near even-money lines pre-match.
