Marcinko's fresher clay momentum stems from straight-set triumphs over Greet Minnen and Rebecca Sramkova to reach the Oeiras WTA 125 round of 16 last week, contrasting Kasintseva's recent clay stumbles including a Stuttgart loss to Vera Zvonareva. High-altitude conditions at Madrid amplify baseline rallies, underscoring the competitive trader consensus for these evenly matched 20-year-olds amid no reported injuries.
