Marta Kostyuk enters the Madrid Open WTA 1000 semifinal on clay with a 10-match winning streak, including her Rouen title and straight-set defeats of Catherine McNally and No. 13 Linda Noskova in the last two rounds, showcasing dominant clay form without dropping a set in Madrid. Anastasia Potapova, a lucky loser, has surged with upsets over Elena Rybakina and Karolina Pliskova, reaching her first WTA 1000 semifinal despite withdrawing from Stuttgart last week due to a recurring injury. Their head-to-head stands at 2-2 overall, but Kostyuk leads 1-0 on clay and won the last two meetings, including 2025 Madrid; recent momentum and surface history shape a closely contested matchup on Manolo Santana Stadium.
