In the WTA 125 Huzhou Open quarterfinals on clay, fifth seed Hanyu Guo (world No. 173) faces unseeded Russian teenager Rada Zolotareva (No. 439) in their first head-to-head matchup. Zolotareva, a 17-year-old qualifier, has surged with key wins including a gritty 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 comeback upset over second seed Despina Papamichail in the round of 16, plus straight-sets victories over Qiu Yu Ye and Zheng Wei earlier. Guo advanced comfortably, defeating Dalila Jakupovic 6-3, 7-6(3) in the round of 32, leveraging home-crowd support and experience on Chinese clay. No injury concerns reported; Zolotareva's momentum and youth contrast Guo's higher ranking and consistency, with surface familiarity favoring neither decisively in this unpredictable WTA 125 clash.
