Schultz seeks his first Octagon win after a first-round TKO loss to Damian Pinas in February, leveraging his brown-belt BJJ grappling (five submission victories, six first-round finishes). Johnston returns from a two-year layoff since capturing the Eternal MMA title via rear-naked choke in March 2024, bringing Muay Thai striking pedigree from City Kickboxing and a BJJ black belt, though ring rust looms amid his height edge (6'4" vs. 6'2") and home crowd boost. The stylistic clash favors early finishes, as neither has gone to decision in wins.
