Trader consensus prices a 73.5% implied probability for a safety car during Sunday's 2026 F1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, driven by the circuit's history of deployments in every prior edition amid its tight, barrier-lined layout around Hard Rock Stadium that amplifies crash and debris risks in overtaking zones. Recent forecasts signal thunderstorms and heavy showers over the race window, with track temperatures potentially exceeding 55°C beforehand, heightening slippery conditions and incident potential. Early 2026 season near-misses, high-speed crashes like Bearman's at Suzuka, and speed differentials from new power units prompted FIA tweaks for Miami—including capped boost, reduced recharge limits, and auto-MGU-K intervention at starts—but traders see persistent chaos risks outweighing mitigations.
