Cameron Norrie holds a narrow edge in trader consensus for his second-round clash against Thiago Agustin Tirante at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia, stemming from their recent head-to-head on clay where Norrie prevailed 7-5, 7-6(5) in the Madrid Open third round two weeks ago. Tirante, a baseline grinder thriving on outdoor clay, advanced past qualifier Gianluca Cadenasso 7-6(5), 6-4, 6-0 in Friday's first round, building on his Houston semifinals run earlier this spring. Norrie enters fresh off a first-round bye as the No. 17 seed, riding momentum from Madrid's round-of-32 progress and Barcelona quarterfinals. No injury concerns reported; expect a grinding affair on Rome's slower Foro Italico surface, with Norrie's lefty serve and experience potentially decisive against Tirante's rising form.
