Ilya Ivashka enters the Bengaluru 2 Challenger quarterfinal as the clear favorite over home hopeful Manish Sureshkumar on outdoor hard courts, buoyed by dominant straight-sets wins over Kuan-Yi Lee (6-2, 6-0) and Kokoro Isomura (6-1, 6-2) in the first two rounds. Sureshkumar, ranked around No. 829, has snapped a six-year ATP Challenger singles drought with gritty victories against qualifier Ronit Karki (6-4, 7-6) and Alastair Gray (6-4, 3-2 ret.), leveraging crowd support at the Karnataka Open venue. No head-to-head history exists; Ivashka's higher ranking and efficient form contrast Sureshkumar's momentum, though Bengaluru's May heat (highs near 95°F) could test endurance in a best-of-three sets matchup.
