In the first round of the ATP Challenger Jiujiang on outdoor hard courts, higher-ranked Tristan Schoolkate (No. 114, career high No. 95) faces Chinese wild card Fajing Sun (No. 213), with no prior head-to-head. Schoolkate enters off quarterfinal losses in Gwangju and Mexico City, showing solid depth but a shaky 0-4 YTD record amid travel to Asia. Sun rides hot form from a Wuning Challenger final last week, upsetting Li Tu 2-1, bolstered by home crowd support and recent deep runs in Chinese events. Key factors include Schoolkate's ranking edge and experience versus Sun's momentum, surface familiarity, and rest advantage; no reported injuries or withdrawals.
