In the ATP Challenger Zagreb clay-court opener, wildcard Mili Poljicak (#302) faces qualifier Dominic Stricker (#311), a closely contested first-round matchup shaped by recent qualifier momentum for the Swiss left-hander, who advanced past George Loffhagen and holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge from a 2023 win (3-6, 7-5, 6-1). Poljicak benefits from home-crowd support as a Croatian native but enters off a straight-sets loss to Buvaysar Gadamauri in Shymkent II last week, potentially lacking match rhythm. No injury concerns or withdrawals reported; clay surface favors baseline grinders, with Stricker's recent form tilting trader sentiment slightly his way amid comparable rankings and career highs (Poljicak 257, Stricker 88).
