In the Jiujiang Challenger first round on outdoor hard courts, higher-ranked Coleman Wong (No. 122) entered as the seeded favorite against veteran Mikhail Kukushkin (No. 282), their first head-to-head meeting. Wong's youth (21) and upward trajectory, including a recent upset over Brandon Nakashima to reach Delray Beach quarterfinals and a 50% win rate in 2026 ATP events, fueled trader consensus on his edge in pace and stamina. Kukushkin (38), boasting a 21-14 YTD record with Challenger experience, arrived off a Gwangju R2 loss to Leandro Riedi but strong hard-court history. No injuries or withdrawals reported; Wong ultimately won 6-3, 6-3, aligning with pre-match implied probabilities around 66%.
