Jacob Fearnley holds a clear edge on clay with a 7-5 ATP-level record (58% win rate), contrasting Aleksandar Kovacevic's struggles at 3-13 (19%) on the surface, driving trader consensus toward the Brit in this Internazionali BNL d'Italia qualifying final. Both advanced decisively in prior rounds—Kovacevic ousting Carboni 6-4, 7-6(4) with strong serving, while Fearnley displayed fitness after a two-month layoff by defeating Mochizuki. No head-to-head history exists, and rankings are close (Kovacevic 97, Fearnley around 98-110), but Fearnley's recent clay competence and Rome's slower conditions amplify his stylistic matchup advantages amid favorable weather forecasts. Late scratches or withdrawals remain possible pre-match.
