Sixth-seeded Czech Zdenek Kolar (#182), playing on home clay in the Ostrava Challenger quarterfinals, meets Bosnia's Nerman Fatic (#239) after both advanced with two wins apiece. Kolar escaped a three-set R32 battle before cruising 6-4, 6-3 over qualifier Jonas Forejtek in the R16, building momentum on familiar outdoor clay. Fatic notched a straight-sets R1 upset over (2) J. Pinnington Jones (6-2, 7-5) then grinded out a 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 R16 comeback against T. Seyboth Wild. Kolar holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge from last year's Sofia Challenger clay semifinal (6-0 ret.), with no reported injuries or withdrawals; home crowd and ranking advantage shape trader consensus amid Fatic's recent resilience.
