In the ATP Challenger Tunis round-of-16 on clay, No. 236 Max Houkes faces No. 329 Inaki Montes-De La Torre in their first head-to-head matchup. Houkes advanced with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 first-round win over Kaichi Uchida, extending his strong clay form from April's upsets against higher-ranked Dusan Lajovic and Frederico Ferreira Silva in other Challengers. Montes-De La Torre, turning pro after Virginia Cavaliers' NCAA success, navigated qualifiers by retiring Hynek Barton before beating Alex Barrena in the main draw. Houkes' left-handed play, superior ranking, and Challenger experience drive trader consensus toward him as a measured favorite, while Montes' fresh clay momentum and qualifier grit introduce upset potential on Tunis' outdoor courts.
