In the Ostrava Challenger quarterfinals on red clay, No. 228 Tom Gentzsch faces qualifier Rudolf Molleker (No. 431), both Germans meeting for the second time at Challenger level after Gentzsch's 6-7(3), 6-2, 6-2 win over Molleker last July in Braunschweig on clay. Gentzsch's momentum stems from straight-sets R32 win over George Loffhagen and a gritty three-set upset of No. 3 seed Zsombor Piros in R16, showcasing baseline resilience and tiebreak prowess. Molleker, rebuilding from career-low rankings, powered through qualifying and R16 three-setter vs. Henri Squire. Clay suits both steady grinders, but Gentzsch's higher ranking, recent form, and head-to-head edge shape trader consensus amid no reported injuries.
