In the Ostrava Challenger quarterfinals on clay courts, higher-ranked Tom Gentzsch (No. 228) faces Rudolf Molleker (No. 431), both Germans advancing with gritty round-of-16 wins on April 29. Gentzsch rallied from 1-5 down in the third set to defeat No. 148 Zsombor Piros 6-4, 6-7(7), 7-5 after a straight-sets 6-3, 6-2 second-round victory over George Loffhagen, showcasing resilience on his preferred surface. Molleker outlasted No. 252 Henri Squire 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 for his first Challenger quarterfinal of 2026. Molleker holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge, but Gentzsch's momentum and ranking favor him amid no reported injuries or withdrawals.
