Arthur Fery holds a narrow edge in trader consensus for this ATP 500 first-round grass-court match at the HSBC Championships, reflecting his higher ranking near 141, greater career earnings, and stronger recent form on the surface. Both players enter via wild cards into their Queen’s Club debuts, with Fery advancing to the Birmingham Challenger quarterfinals on grass in early June before a semifinal exit. Samuel, ranked around 150, reached the French Open main draw after strong clay qualifying wins but has limited grass-court experience at this level. Their sole prior meeting saw Fery prevail in straight sets on hard courts in 2023. The fast grass surface and home-country context favor both, yet Fery’s established ATP results create the modest probability separation.
